APO Group’s Founder Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard Named African Genius Nominee at 2025 Awards

Johannesburg, South Africa – 8 August 2025. Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, Founder and Chairman of APO Group, has been nominated for the 2025 African Genius Awards (AGA), a pan-African recognition that celebrates outstanding intellect, innovation, and impact.

The awards, established by Priority Performance Projects in collaboration with academic, research, media, and cultural institutions, highlight individuals whose work has significantly influenced Africa’s development.

This year’s judging panel includes Dr. Pulane Molokwane, a nuclear physicist and environmental specialist; Professor Steven Friedman, Director of the Centre for the Study of Democracy; author Simon Gathua; Professor Rosaire Ifedi of Ashland University; and Vuyiswa Mataka, Senior Tech Talent Partner at the Bank of New York Mellon.

Past nominees have included business leader Strive Masiyiwa, data and AI expert Dr. Mark Nasila, and African Development Bank President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.

In response to his nomination, Pompigne-Mognard said it validates APO Group’s mission of championing African narratives, amplifying African voices, and bridging Africa with the world.
