The Ugandan police in the Kigezi region have announced the arrest of a Rwandan national named Fosta Twizeyimana, who is suspected of defiling his six-year-old daughter.
According to information provided by the Ugandan police, Twizeyimana was working as a cowboy in the Rukiga District. Elly Maate, the police spokesperson for the Kigezi region, stated that the crime is alleged to have occurred on July 26, 2024, in the Rukiga area where Twizeyimana was herding.
“The available information indicates that Twizeyimana went to the farm with his wife and their two daughters, aged two and six. Since Twizeyimana was some distance away, he called the children, who were with their mother, who was farming,” he said.
“When the children arrived, he sent the two-year-old away and defiled the six-year-old. After the act, he told her to go back to her mother, who was farming. However, the mother noticed that the child had difficulty walking and found injuries on her neck and blood on her thighs.”
After inquiring about what had happened, the girl told her mother that she had been defiled by her father. The mother immediately filed a report, leading to the man’s arrest.
