President Kagame Holds Talks with Macron in Paris
By The Inspirer.
President Kagame held discussions with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, focusing on the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as global issues.
The talks took place at the Élysée Palace in Paris, at a time when France is among the countries playing a role in efforts to mediate between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in order to ease tensions.
President Kagame last visited France in October 2024 when he attended the Francophonie Summit. During that visit, he also met with President Macron, and their talks centered on the security crisis in eastern Congo.
The Head of State is in Paris as a match between PSG and Arsenal — two clubs that promote the “Visit Rwanda” campaign — is scheduled for Wednesday evening.
