KETHA Celebrates 82.5% employment success at the 27th February 2026 graduation ceremony

On 27th February 2026, Kigali Excellent Tourism and Hospitality Academy (KETHA) proudly graduated 40 students supported by the Rwanda TVET Board through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) project.

The ceremony marked not only the completion of studies but also a strong milestone in employment success. To date, 33 out of 40 graduates are already employed, representing an impressive 82.5% employment rate in the hospitality industry.

The school reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting the remaining graduates until 100% employment is achieved.

Commitment beyond graduation

Graduates expressed great appreciation for the quality education and practical training they received.

KETHA ensured internship placements in reputable hotels, enabling students to acquire essential hands-on experience.

Beyond training, KETHA continues to follow up with graduates by actively connecting them with employers a unique approach that bridges the gap between education and employment.

As a sign of gratitude, the graduates awarded the school an Appreciation Certificate, recognizing its dedication to their professional development and career success.

Mr. Nsengiyumva Alphonse, Managing Director of Suppla Group Ltd, speaking as a representative of KETHA partners, commended the school for delivering quality education and preparing interns who are not a burden to hotels but valuable contributors to daily operations.

He further appreciated KETHA’s initiative of connecting graduates with employers, noting that many businesses open without clear channels for recruiting skilled employees, while graduates often lack sufficient information about available job opportunities.

He emphasized that KETHA’s employment connection model is a practical solution that benefits both businesses and job seekers.

Remarks from the guest of honor

The Guest of Honor, Mr. Eugene Uwimana, Skills Development Program Manager representing the Rwanda TVET Board, highly appreciated KETHA’s efforts in internship placement and facilitating employment opportunities for graduates.

He also thanked parents and various partners for their continuous support, highlighting that such initiatives align with government priorities aimed at reducing unemployment in Rwanda.

Mr. Uwimana encouraged graduates to maintain professionalism in the labor market, reminding them that their behavior protects not only their personal reputation but also the image of their school.
