SOLEIL Ltd to connect workers to employment opportunities

SOLEIL Ltd (Societe d’Organisation Lineaire, Etude et Innovation Lucrative), has officially launched a project ‘Ku Ndege smart Project’ which will help workers in the construction sector find jobs and get the required training. These will include experienced workers like mansions and builders, students, and porters.

Due to a decrease in the availability of arable land in urban areas due to the expansion of cities, SOLEIL Ltd has launched a project called ‘Ku Ndege smart project with the aim to help construction workers, including students, to connect them with employers, to provide them with equipment and gradually pay them, and to provide them with food to support their families.

The CEO of SOLEIL Ltd., Uwitonze Francois Xavier, says that they thought of the ‘Ku Ndege smart project’ after seeing the problems that students and other workers face, such as lack of work due to indiscipline which at times turns to hinder public safety.

“Through the use of technology (software), we are going to find their work, we will work with them on contracts, get them the tools to use and other basic things they need in their daily life such as the food. This will help to make them busy hence they can’t go into criminality,” Uwitonze said.

 Parents and students say that this program is time-saving and will help them in their work as they have been spending most time without money, thus making it difficult for them to provide for their families.

Muhayuwera Alphonsine, a mother of three from the Nyabisundu cell Kimironko sector says “Finding a job has been one of the most complicated things to do as we would work for one or two days then sit out for a week and in that whole week you have a family to feed.” She adds that the interesting bit about this new company is that they can work every day, making our lives better.

Nsanzumuhire Alex, who was one of the first to sign a contract, says he is optimistic about the job, which will help him a lot in his daily life as he has struggled to improve life. He calls on his fellow construction workers to participate in this program.

For one to be a member and work with SOLEIL Ltd, he must first sign a contract with this company, otherwise, the workers will pay five hundred Rwandan francs (500Frw), and porters will pay two hundred and fifty (250Frw) per lesson. only those who are employed permanently will add a cent (100Frw).
