The Christian Church International Takes a Stand Against Drug Abuse

In a bold move to combat drug abuse, the Christian Church International is set to convene a transformative meeting in Kimisagara, Kigali from Saturday May 4 to Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Despite the location’s reputation, the gathering aims to address the scourge of drug abuse, even if the local residents choose not to participate.

Rev. Pastor Theophile Dusengimana, speaking to the media, highlighted the urgency of the situation, emphasizing the prevalent violence and theft rampant in the area.

“We are taking the gathering the to the area because we believe people in that neighborhood can’t be left behind.” Pastor said.

“It’s an opportunity to remind them that they can also be the drivers of change from evil to the good. We hope this is going to spiritually impact them,” said Rev. Pastor Theophile Dusengimana.

Besides preaching, the church has pledged to provide support to the targeted area especially by helping young people who dropped out of school to go back to school.

Determined to effect change, the church has organized a two-day congregation with the goal of reaching and transforming many lives.

Beyond this initiative, The Christian Church International has been actively engaged in various community-building activities, contributing positively to the nation. Notably, their efforts have facilitated the return of approximately 60 school dropouts to education and reintegrated street children into the schooling system.

The forthcoming event, blessed with divine intervention, will feature collaborative efforts with organizations such as ADPR and various talented artists, enhancing the worship experience and promoting spiritual rejuvenation.

Moreover, Pastor Theophile revealed plans for cooperation with a respected pastor from Australia, further expanding the reach and impact of their mission.
