Rwandan Students called to study in Europe, Canada and United States

By Elias Hakizimana.

InterStudy and Travel Ventures, a local organization based in Kigali city, Gasabo District is calling Rwandan students to go study in European countries specifically in Ukraine that is currently recruiting interested students.

Hosted by InterStudy, a Ukrainian delegation was in Kigali on Sunday, July 7, 2019 to give this information for young students as most of them currently use online applications where they can meet cyber lobbers who spread wrong information for their interests to steal money.

Peter Kudjo Simba, Managing Director of InterStudy and Travel Ventures told The Inspirer that there are many opportunities for students who acquire knowledge from these countries.

“We are today informing Rwandan students and others who wish and have capacity to go study abroad in European countries that today we have places in Ukraine. We are here sharing all possible information to students to try their best as there are many opportunities,” he said.

Simba said that the current call for intake has many places for students specifically in five Universities of Ukraine. The intake is open from September 2019 and the recruitment is being done.

InterStudy program works with various school institutions “Currently, we work with different countries, in America and Canada, we have primary, secondary and University Institutions as well as colleges. In general, in Europe, we work with France, German, Poland, Ukraine and Tchèque Republic. We also work with few University Institutions in United Kingdom,”Simba noted.

He explained that students will be able to study and come back to help the country improve the quality of education.

InterStudy and Travel Ventures started officially in 2017 and has sent around 300 students to study abroad only in two years. Over 150 among them are in Europe, others are in Canada and America.

The rationale behind

“We all know that the European countries are faster and advanced enough than African countries in different domains including education, the main reason we tell Rwandan students to go and study there is to acquire knowledge and bring it back to help their mother country. It is an advantage for them to have such an experience,” Simba said.

He said that School fees is affordable for both students going for Bachelors’ and Master’s Degree and they get opportunity to study and work there.

The current challenge is lack of information for students about prices and affordability of education in these countries.

The prices range from $1,700 and $2,300 per year for students going in Bachelor’s Degree of four years in different courses; and from $2,070 and $5,200 for the ones going in Master’s Degree.

Simba advises Rwandan students who want these opportunities to study abroad to not rely on internet information when it comes to admission and online application as most of the time they can get wrong information and lose their money. He calls them to pass through InterStudy and Travel Ventures to get a clear direction and help.

InterStudy and Travel Ventures has its Headquarters in Kigali city, Gasabo District in Kimironko Sector.
