[Press Release]: Rwanda among the first of 27 countries to officially launch the SanlamAllianz brand

Kigali, Rwanda, 29 August 2024: Sanlam and Allianz, two of the world’s leading insurance giants, have officially launched the SanlamAllianz brand in Rwanda at an event held in Kigali today.
This marks a significant milestone as Rwanda becomes one of the first of 27 countries to showcase the new brand formed through the 2023 joint venture, creating Africa’s largest non-banking financial services company.
SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Plc (“SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Rwanda”) and SanlamAllianz General Insurance Plc (“SanlamAllianz General Insurance Rwanda”) are at the forefront of this brand launch. Mr. Jean Chrysostome Hodari, CEO of SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Rwanda, and Mr. Richard Akotègnon Hodehou, CEO of SanlamAllianz General Insurance Rwanda, lead these businesses.
This launch follows recent regulatory approvals, allowing SanlamAllianz businesses to officially trade under the new branding.
