Miss Muheto Arrested for Alleged Drunk Driving

The Rwanda National Police has announced that Miss Divine Muheto was recently detained after being found driving under the influence of alcohol above the legal limit and without a valid driver’s license.

She was also reportedly involved in an incident where she damaged public infrastructure and attempted to flee the scene after the collision.

The police further noted that this was not her first offense, and a case file has been forwarded to the prosecution for further action.

Last week, rumors began circulating on social media about Miss Divine Muheto’s possible arrest. Although no verified information was available at the time, many people took to social media to criticize the behavior of some prominent Rwandans, including incidents involving alcohol.

Divine Muheto was crowned Miss Rwanda in 2022, succeeding Miss Rwanda 2021, Grace Ingabire.
