Rwanda Embassy in Qatar moves operations online amid regional security tensions
By Elias HAKIZIMANA.
The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Doha, Qatar, has announced that it is temporarily operating online due to the current security situation in the area.
In an official notice, the embassy assured Rwandans and other clients that it remains fully committed to providing public services remotely until further notice. Those requiring urgent assistance can reach the embassy via 24/7 emergency phone lines: +974 51070037, +974 66286011, or +974 50200376, or via email at ambadoha@minaffet.gov.rw.
The move comes as tensions in the Middle East escalate following military actions by the United States and Israel in Iran on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Iran responded with retaliatory strikes targeting Israel and U.S. military installations in several countries, including Qatar, prompting heightened security measures.
The embassy emphasized that all consular and emergency services will continue uninterrupted online, while staff closely monitor regional developments. Rwandans in Qatar are urged to use the digital platforms for all inquiries and assistance until in-person operations can safely resume.
