VIVO Energy Rwanda Expands Premium Fuel Offering with Launch of MOGAS 95

VIVO Energy Rwanda has expanded its premium fuel offering by introducing MOGAS95 to its Kimironko Engen station, further extending the reach of this high-performance petrol.

Already available at the Kanogo and Kicukiro Sonatube stations, MOGAS95 is designed to meet the needs of modern, high-octane engines, enhancing vehicle efficiency and engine performance for Rwandan motorists.

The official expansion took place on October 10, 2024, at the Kimironko Engen petrol station.

Mr. Djiby Diene, Managing Director of VIVO Energy Rwanda, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing high-quality fuel solutions during the event. “We are proud to bring MOGAS95 to our Kimironko station, building on its success at Kanogo and Kicukiro Sonatube. In addition, we continue to cater to motorcyclists with advanced oils that help maintain engine health and improve driving efficiency.”

MOGAS95, with its octane rating of 95, is engineered to resist knocking during combustion, ensuring smoother engine performance and better fuel efficiency. It is particularly beneficial for high-performance and modern vehicles, providing both enhanced protection and longer engine life.

Linda Muhirwa Black, VIVO Energy Rwanda’s Marketing and Communications Manager, highlighted the importance of this expansion for local motorists. “The availability of MOGAS95 at Kimironko marks a significant step in ensuring more customers have access to high-quality fuel. MOGAS95 improves vehicle performance, offers superior engine protection, and contributes to a more sustainable environment. It’s now conveniently available at Kimironko, Kanogo, and Kicukiro Sonatube.”

The fuel’s higher octane rating makes it ideal for modern engines, offering numerous benefits over lower octane fuels like MOGAS93, including improved efficiency, cleaner combustion, and reduced emissions. “By expanding MOGAS95, we are optimizing the driving experience for Rwandan motorists, particularly those with vehicles that require premium fuel,” Linda added.

Felix Ufiteyezu, Retail Portfolio Planning Manager at VIVO Energy Rwanda, underscored the role of MOGAS95 in Rwanda’s economic development. “MOGAS95 was first introduced in 2023 and is dedicated to vehicles with high-performance engines. It is expected to contribute to the country’s economic growth by supporting improved vehicle performance and longer engine life.”
