Rwanda and Guinea have signed agreements in various sectors, including tourism, agriculture, energy, export promotion, and the development of industrial zones.

These agreements were signed in Kigali on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Rwanda was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olivier Nduhungirehe, who signed the 12 agreements on behalf of the country. On the Guinea side, the agreements were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté.

Minister Nduhungirehe stated, “The partnership between the two countries is based on mutual understanding and cooperation aimed at bringing benefits.”

Guinea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, expressed confidence in the agreements signed by both parties. He said, “The agreements signed between the two countries are a testament to the strong partnership between Guinea and Rwanda. I have no doubt that this is a significant step that will further strengthen our relationship.”

Rwanda and Guinea have long-standing relations, with leaders of both nations having exchanged visits on various occasions. In January this year, Guinea’s President, General Mamady Doumbouya, visited Rwanda and later attended the inauguration ceremony of President Paul Kagame.
