Rwanda emerges as a prime destination for global investment, Kagame tells investors

On Monday 15 December 2025, President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, hosted a delegation of prominent international investors at Village Urugwiro, where discussions focused on Rwanda’s expanding investment opportunities, particularly in the services and tourism sectors.
The investors included Mohamed Ali Janah, Chief Executive Officer of Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives, alongside other global investment leaders.
President Kagame also met with representatives of JIH Global Investments, led by Ghassan Aboud and Ahmad Aboud, senior executives of Ghassan Aboud Group, a multinational conglomerate known for its operations in trade, logistics, media, and other strategic investment sectors across various regions.
During the engagements, both sides reviewed Rwanda’s development achievements, with emphasis on sustainable tourism, quality service delivery, and governance anchored in transparency and security.
The investors praised Rwanda’s stable policies, effective leadership, and long-term development vision, noting that these strengths continue to position the country as an attractive hub for global investment.
President Kagame reaffirmed the Government of Rwanda’s commitment to maintaining a business-friendly environment by easing investment procedures, safeguarding investor confidence, and prioritizing key sectors that drive economic growth.
The discussions reflect growing international confidence in Rwanda and are expected to lead to strengthened partnerships, new investments, job creation, and expanded tourism development.
