Miss Muheto and ‘Fatakumavuta’ Appear Before Court

On the morning of October 31, 2024, Miss Nshuti Muheto Divine and Sengabo Jean Bosco, popularly known as Fatakumavuta, appeared before the Kicukiro Primary Court for a hearing on their provisional detention.
The two arrived at the court in the same vehicle.
Miss Nshuti Muheto Divine was taken into custody by the Traffic Police between October 18-20, 2024, after being involved in an accident in Kicukiro District. She was arrested following the incident, where it was reported she was driving under the influence of alcohol and allegedly attempted to flee the scene. She now faces a provisional detention hearing.
This incident adds to prior offenses, prompting the preparation of a case file submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office, which subsequently brought the case before the court.

Fatakumavuta was arrested on October 18, 2024, by the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) on charges including defamation, harassment, and cyberstalking.
Initial investigations revealed he is suspected of offenses involving drug use, defamation, and harassment through electronic means, allegedly carried out on social media over various occasions.
During the investigation, tests were conducted to verify potential drug use, with forensic results showing he had a high level of marijuana in his system, measured at 298 – significantly above the standard range of 0-20.
