Magdeleine Vallieres Wins 2025 UCI Road World Championships Women’s Elite Race in Rwanda

Canadian cyclist Magdeleine Vallieres won the 2025 UCI Road World Championships held in Rwanda after taking victory in the women’s elite road race covering a distance of 164.4 kilometers on Saturday.

She completed the race in 4 hours, 34 minutes, and 48 seconds, after riding 11 laps of the Kigali circuit. The route started and finished at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC), passing through Gishushu, MTN, Nyarutarama, the Golf Loop, SOS, MINAGRI, Ninzi, KABC, RIB, Mediheal, Women Foundation Ministries, and Ku Muvunyi before returning to KCC.

Niamh Fisher-Black from New Zealand finished second, 23 seconds behind Vallieres, while Spain’s Mavi García came third, 27 seconds behind the winner.

Rwanda was represented by Nirere Xaverine, Ingabire Diane, Nzayisenga Valentine, and Irakoze Neza Violette, who did not finish the race.
