Kagame, First Lady Participate in Car-Free Day Event

By The Inspirer.

President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame took part in Kigali City’s car-free day mass sports activity on Sunday, March 17.

This widely popular event, held at least twice a month, draws participants from all walks of life engaging in activities such as jogging, cycling, skating, and walking.

Over the years, the car-free zone in Kigali has witnessed the introduction of new activities beyond group calisthenics.

Presently, group tennis and ping pong, mobile entertainment facilities for children, and blood donation drives have been incorporated into the program. The initiative not only promotes physical activity but also serves as a means to reduce gas emissions to some extent.

Additionally, it provides an opportunity for city residents to come together for a fun and social gathering.
