Barafinda Sekikubo Fred to remain in provisional detention for 30 days
By The Inspirer.
The Nyarugenge Intermediate Court has dismissed Barafinda Sekikubo Fred’s appeal, ordering him to remain in provisional detention for 30 days.
Barafinda had challenged a Kicukiro Primary Court ruling, while his co-accused—Mazimpaka Patrick, Nizeyimana Didier (Mucoma), Japhet Nkeramihigo, and Tumukunde—were released on March 9 to continue trial without detention.
The prosecution alleges that Barafinda and others spread misinformation and incited public discontent through YouTube broadcasts, with backing from external supporters.
