Alexandre NZIRORERA has been appointed to be representing Rwanda at BIM Africa

A Rwandan engineer has been selected as Rwanda representative at Africa’s biggest BIM technology regulatory organization, BIM Africa.

BIM Africa is a continental organization that enables and regulates the adoption and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry across Africa.

According to Autodesk, BIM is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure.

BIM is considered as an innovative process and technology that is transforming the way buildings and city infrastructure are designed, analyzed, constructed, and managed.

On December 18, 2020 in the meeting held online gathering the entire leadership team of BIM Africa, NZIRORERA Alexandre has been appointed as country representative for Rwanda. He will ensure the adoption, regulation and implementation of this technology across the country under the management of BIM Africa.

Working in the same line with world’s bests construction technology companies like Autodesk, CanadaBIM, BIM4Turkey, Oracle, Infraworks, BIM Africa was founded in 2018 with its headquarter in Abuja, Nigeria.

Previously, NZIRORERA Alexandre is a Managing Director of a local construction and design company “Golden construction and designing ltd”, CEO of Nziza Training Academy, and recently hired by one of the US Microdegree online educational institution “Collegepert” as quality assurance specialist.

The leadership skills proven by leading different local companies including the famous Nziza Training Academy, the only skills development institution for engineers, architect and project managers and the trust US collegepert has put in him, are the main two qualities among others that have approved his capabilities. He will oversee the adoption and implementation of BIM technology in construction industry of Rwanda and will be reporting directly to the Executive director of BIM Africa.

Responding to the capability, Moses ITANOLA, The Executive Director of BIM Africa said, “Alexandre meets the requirements of standing as a country representative, his experience in helping professional engineers and architects gain competitive skills on CAD will help him structure a way they can adopt the use of BIM as an advanced construction technology compare to CAD. And BIM Africa is ready to help him in any way possible to make sure Rwanda is moving with other African countries in the development of construction industry,” said Itanola, the Executive Director of BIM Africa .
