Safi-Run Logistics Ltd launches environmental friendly cooking gas delivery

A local company that promotes Rwanda’s green revolution by reducing environmental pollution has introduced a new cooking gas delivery with scooter electric motorcycles.
The move, according to Safi authorities will contribute to the reduction of air pollution and will facilitate Rwandans to get cooking gas on their doors without going to the gas stations.
To order the cooking gas, one needs to use his/her mobile phone and dial 3040 USD code and Safi motorcyclists bring the gas immediately at home with cost discount comparing to customer’s purchasing routine.

Tony B.Adesina, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Safi Run Logistics Ltd said that the initiative aims at improving customer services to Rwandans and to contribute to job creation for youth (men and women).
“We employ both men and women in delivering cooking gas and we are able to control the delivery process until the gas reach the client. We want to ensure excellent service in our daily work here in Rwanda mainly in Kigali, Musanze, Huye.” Adesina noted.

Jerry Ndayishimiye, the in charge of marketing at Safi Run Logistics Ltd said that they work with current cooking gas distributers in Rwanda and respect the client’s order.
He added that they also deliver food and electronic equipment to the citizens apart from home cooking gas delivery.
Youth employment boost
Marie Jose Tuyizere, the Operations Manager of this company said that they have employed 50 young men and women including 40 men and 10 women.
“Currently, we have 50 motorcyclists including 30 permanent and 20 casuals. We target to employ 300 motorcyclists within a year.” Tuyizere said.
Clementine Ingabire, 22, is one of female motorcyclists employed by Safi Run Logistics Ltd. She said the company boosted her motorcycle driving experience.

Ingabire was among the cyclists in Tour Du Rwanda before joining motorcycle driving.
Emmanuel Nshimyumuremyi, another motorcycle driver at Safi has been a motorcycle driver in FERWACOTAMO. He said that he learnt discipline and improved hygiene comparing to other motorcyclists.
“We get health insurance and we make quite double the salary of other motorcyclists.” He said.
Since its inception in Rwanda in 2019, Safi Run Logistics Ltd has the capacity to deliver up to 300 cooking gas daily. The company plans to expand its activities countrywide in the near future.
