Rwanda earns over Rwf14bn from agricultural exports in five days

Rwanda earned more than Rwf14 billion from agricultural and livestock exports over five days, with 9,656 tonnes of products shipped to international markets between September 28 and October 2, 2026.

According to the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB), the exports generated $9.94 million, equivalent to more than Rwf14 billion.

Coffee was the highest-earning specific product, with 609 tonnes generating $1.66 million, while 400 tonnes of tea earned $1.1 million.

Rwanda also exported 489 tonnes of vegetables worth $508,124, while 718 tonnes of fruits generated $674,055.

Flower exports stood at 18 tonnes and earned $86,857, while 285 tonnes of livestock products generated $558,518.

The report shows that the category of miscellaneous agricultural products accounted for the largest export volume, with 7,137 tonnes generating $5.34 million.

Rwanda’s export markets during the period included China, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, South Africa, India and other African countries.
