KETHA Showcases Opportunities for Graduates at the 12th Job Net Event in Kigali

Kigali Excellent Tourism and Hospitality Academy (KETHA) took an active role in the 12th Job Net event organized by the city of Kigali in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth on December 14th, 2023.

The event, held at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV), aimed to bridge the gap between employers, job seekers, and students, providing valuable insights into career guidance and development for young graduates and aspiring professionals.

Represented by the deputy principal and the chief finance manager, KETHA actively engaged with a diverse audience, including fresh university graduates, finalists, school students, and various employers.

Alain Jean Paul Munyankusi, KETHA’s Vice Chancellor, expressed satisfaction with the visitors’ enthusiasm for the institution, stating, “Many visitors were intrigued by KETHA’s offerings and asked pertinent questions to understand the array of services provided by the school.”

Parfait Busabizwa, the Executive Secretary of Kigali City, extended gratitude to all participants, highlighting the significance of this biannual event in the city’s history.

The event featured expert insights from institutions such as the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Urwibutso Enterprise, and Enable Rwanda, shedding light on entrepreneurship, job creation, and business development. Attendees gained valuable insights into Rwanda’s labor landscape through engaging discussions and Q&A sessions.

Entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, including soap processing, construction material production, and initiatives supporting autistic individuals, shared their personal journeys, achievements, and strategies to navigate challenges in their respective industries.

“At KETHA’s stand, we showcased our unique approach in facilitating job placements for our graduates through strategic partnerships and highlighted our collaborations with Chancen International for advanced scholarship programs,” Munyankusi elaborated.

Urujeni Martine, Vice Mayor of Kigali City in Charge of Social Affairs, shared past experiences and success stories of job placements resulting from previous Job Net events, emphasizing the tangible opportunities created through these platforms.
