President Paul Kagame on Friday opened the FPR Inkotanyi Political Bureau meeting, where more than 2,000 party representatives are gathering to discuss the organisation’s future direction and long-term vision.
The meeting, held at Intare Conference Arena, the party’s headquarters in Kigali, brings together representatives from FPR Inkotanyi structures across the country, from the national level to villages.
It is also being attended by representatives of other political parties operating in Rwanda and invited guests.
The two-day meeting is focused on assessing the party’s journey so far and developing strategies for the next 30 years, with discussions centred on governance, national development and FPR Inkotanyi’s role in Rwanda’s future.
Kagame, who serves as Chairman of FPR Inkotanyi, officially opened the meeting and delivered remarks to guide discussions among participants.
The meeting comes as the party reviews its contribution to Rwanda’s transformation since it came to power in 1994, while considering priorities and approaches for the coming decades.
Participants are expected to deliberate on ways to strengthen the party’s structures and continue supporting national development efforts.
