Joy for Nsabimana as his license is put to use after winning a motorcycle in Airtel Tunga Promo
By Elias Hakizimana
Pierre Nsabimana has a reason to smile, and get astonished after winning a motorcycle in Airtel Tunga Promo: he acquired a driving licence five years ago, but could not make use of it because he had no motorcycle, or at least, a motorcycle owner who could employ him for wages.
His driving licence has been lying idle for about five years.
The motorcycle he won is the 9th in Airtel Tunga Promotion. The motorcycles in this promotion have been won by people from various socio-economic strata.
The 28-year-old has been retailing popcorns near his residence in Batsinda Cell, Kinyinya Sector in Gasabo District, as a means to getting basic needs such as food.
“My driving license category “A” was lying idle all the five years ago without being employed or getting capacity to buy my own [motorcycle],” Nsabimana said.
“Banks used to request me the guarantee in form of a house or a plot of land which I could not afford,” he added.

He said he has invested over Rwf 247,000 since the Airtel Tunga Promotion prize competition started.
“I started with the promotion but without irregular basis due to the weakness and less confidence to win but within this week ending today, I invested Rwf 80,000 to try my best as I was optimistic that I can be lucky to win one among the four [motorcycles] which were remaining and I fortunately rewarded my luck,”said Nsabimana.
He has won the 9th motorcycle with 4.9million points.
He said that for one well-answered question one gets 100 marks and gets free 50 marks for any question he failed to answer.

Innocent Muhangi, Airtel Rwanda Sales Manager in Kicukiro and Gasabo districts said that there are three motorcycles left out of 12 motorcycles, and one brand new car to close the Tunga promotion, adding that, every week they reward one winner.
To enter the game, one has to dial a digit “1”in his airtel phone message box and send to 155.
“We have one month to go to close the promotion with the remaining three motorcycles. I encourage every Rwandan to join us, try their best to win the remaining awards,” said Muhangi.
