Dorimbogo Passes Away at Kibuye Hospital

Nyiransengiyumva Valentine, famously known as Dorimbogo, passed away on July 27, 2024, at Kibuye Hospital.

The beloved public figure, Nyiransengiyumva Valentine, passed away after doctors at Kibuye Hospital were unable to save her despite their best efforts. She had been suffering from respiratory illnesses for an extended period and had recently been transferred from Kibogora Hospital in Nyamasheke to Kibuye Hospital.

According to a source from Kibuye Hospital, Nyiransengiyumva arrived on July 27 in critical condition. Despite the medical team’s immediate response, she sadly passed away.

Prior to her transfer, an audio recording of Nyiransengiyumva surfaced in which she expressed the financial difficulties she faced while seeking treatment in Kigali. “If I do not return to Kigali, please ask forgiveness from those I wronged, and if I do not return, bid me farewell properly,” she said in the recording.

Nyiransengiyumva earned the nickname ‘Dore Imbogo’ from a song she sang, which featured the refrain, “Dore imbogo, dore impala, dore imvubu….” She became well-known for her engaging interviews on various YouTube channels, where she shared her life experiences and insights.

Nyiransengiyumva’s passing marks the end of a notable life characterized by her unique contributions to Rwandan music and online media. Her fans and followers will remember her for her distinctive voice and heartfelt messages.
