Busingye pledged to overcome challenges in justice sector

Justice Minister Johnston Busingye said they are committed to overcome challenges the country faces in the justice sector.

The Minister was addressing other justice sector partners from West Africa during the meeting that convened delegates from the East Africa Law Society and the Conference of Western Attorneys General-Africa Alliance Partnership (CWAG-AAP) in Kigali, Rwanda.

“The faces here from the East African Community and other parts of the world, serve to show how determined we are to face the challenges we face in our respective countries,” he said.

The meeting was also attended by justice staff from Rwanda Bar Association which organized this workshop to discuss on challenges currently faced by lawyers, prosecutors, investigators and judicial officials.

“The ability of men to hide heinous crimes behind layers of the dark web and the use of computer technology to aid complex financial crimes are all challenges that we must all strive to find solutions to,” he said.

Leaders of Rwanda Investigation Bureau and the National Public Prosecution Authority also attend the meeting.
