ANOTHER HAND: New Organization seeks to help vulnerable patients, prisoners and street Children

A fresh local organization dubbed ‘ANOTHER HAND’ in Huye District, Southern Province is seeking to help vulnerable patients in different hospitals of Rwanda, prisoners and street children.
Incepted on December 15, 2019, the organization has as a vision to shape a society of compassion and love by addressing the socio-economic problems of needy people around their community.
Speaking to The Inspirer during the organization’s first General Assembly on November 7, 2020, Jean Claude Uwizeyimana, Chairperson and Founder of ANOTHER HAND said that their activities will focus on four main missions namely: looking after sick hopeless and needy prisoners in prisons and hospitals, to assist orphans and handicapped people with basic needs, to help around street children and to provide vulnerable people with socio economic related support.

From December 2020 until October 2021, the organization plans to offer preliminary support to the beneficiaries starting from those in Huye District.
” The approach we will use to help street children for example will be to know where they are, where they come from then we will proceed by having conversation with them to know the kind of support we can give them at the beginning.” Uwizeyimana noted.
The organization currently has 35 members grouped into three categories: Children, Youth and Adults.
