5 Days to Go: Register for Safer Internet Forum in KIGALI

Kigali, on June 30, 2023, Internet Society Rwanda Chapter will host Rwanda Safer Internet Forum (RWSIF) to engage the Rwandan community in the discussions related to child online safety and to raise awareness on the importance of both a safer and better Internet for children and the youth.

The forum will also provide an open space for children and the youth to express their perception about the Internet and new technologies, what it means to them and its influence in their lives.
At least 200 participants including various dignitaries from different concerned institutions including the Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT),the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF), Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), Ministry of Youth (MINIYOUTH), National Children Development Agency (NCDA), Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), Rwanda Utility and Regulatory Authority (RURA), National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) and Rwanda National Police (RNP), just to name few, are expected to participate to the forum.
The forum is a good opportunity for policy makers, researchers, law enforcement bodies, youth, parents, teachers, Civil Society, tech community representatives, experts and other relevant actors to embark on the role of internet and its safe use for young generation.
