Tshisekedi refuses to meet Kagame in Doha-Qatar for a mediation meeting

The meeting that was scheduled for Monday, January 23 in Doha, Qatar between the presidents of the Democratic Republic of Congo Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, and Rwanda, Paul Kagame has been canceled.

The president of the DRC simply refused to go to Doha while a Rwandan delegation is already there, said sources at the presidency of the DRC, according to the report by Radio France International.

Tension persists between the two neighboring countries.

Kinshasa accuses Kigali of undermining the Luanda peace process by continuing to support M23 rebels in eastern DRC.
