The Acting Mayor of Nyaruguru District Janvier Gashema says that the area has enough Irish potatoes produce and that they will be thinking of a factory following the extent to which the yield is increasing.
“The good news is that this area of Nyaruguru district is known to be producing enough Irish potatoes, we need to first continue increasing the produce and think on how to establish a small factory that can process cheeps.” Gashema told Umuseke.
There is a hope to boost other sectors beyond agriculture once the Irish potatoes value chain is boosted to the stage of agroprocessing.
