More than 75 percent of the fat that macadamia nuts contain is monounsaturated fat, which has health benefits.
Remember, a single serving size is about 11 to 12 macadamia nuts (about 30 grams), and each nut contains about 18 calories. If you can’t find macadamia nuts or oil at the grocery store, you should be able to pick some up in a health food.
Macadamia nuts are expensive
It is also popularly known as the Hawaii nut because macadamia trees were first commercially grown in Hawaii. The main reason why Macadamia nuts are so expensive is that it takes much longer for the trees to bear fruit. This means the nuts have to be harvested by hand, making the process more work-intensive and costly.

When eaten fresh off the tree, the texture of Macadamia Nut is creamy, almost like the inside of a fresh coconut. They must be dried for storage and shipping, however. Even when dried, they still end up with a rich, buttery flavour.
Macadamia nuts and testosterone production
These tasty nuts are jam-packed with healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, which help promote testosterone production in the body, and low in polyunsaturates, which may actually reduce testosterone levels.
Macadamia nuts are safe as food, and they seem to be safe as medicine for most people. They can cause an allergy, but this is rare.
With their many health benefits, macadamia nuts can fit into any healthful diet.
