Buttocks, Breast Plastic Surgery among Services Offered as King Faisal Hospital Launches Special Week

Buttocks and breast plastic surgery are among cosmetic procedures being offered this week at King Faisal Hospital (KFH) in Kigali as the hospital launches a special ‘Plastic Surgery Week’ to expand access to advanced beauty and reconstructive services.

Starting Monday, July 14, and running through Friday, July 18, the initiative will see patients undergo a range of procedures including liposuction, tummy tucks, breast augmentation or reduction, buttock lifts, arm lifts, and fat transfers from one body part to another.

In addition to surgery, KFH says clients will also have access to non-surgical cosmetic treatments for those who want to enhance or correct features without going under the knife.

Hospital management says all patients for the week have already been selected and screened, and will benefit from discounted prices during this period.

“This program aims to help more people access specialized cosmetic procedures—both surgical and non-surgical—performed by highly experienced experts,” the hospital said in a statement. “It will benefit people with excess skin, stubborn fat, or changes caused by weight loss or childbirth, as well as those with physical deformities they wish to correct.”

The procedures will be conducted by international plastic surgeons working alongside Rwandan doctors to transfer skills and strengthen local expertise.

King Faisal Hospital, which first announced its plastic surgery services in 2016, says it hopes to position itself as a regional hub for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for both Rwandans and foreign clients.

When the service launched nearly a decade ago, clients paid between Rwf 1.5 million and 2.5 million for such procedures. In 2024 alone, the hospital treated about 30 people through its cosmetic surgery program.
