Over 160 pastors, Christian leaders and different leaders have graduated in theology and leadership development courses from International Graduate School of Ministry (IGSM) in a graduation ceremony that took place at Serena Hotel in Kigali.

IGSM which has headquarters in USA is an interdenominational institute dedicated to providing graduate-level education with a Christ-centered focus with a vision to train and equip Christian leaders to significantly impact the communities they serve for Jesus Christ as well as other leaders on leadership.

Speaking at the ceremony, On September 25, 2021, Dr. Henry Kloppthe President and Founder of IGSM congratulated the graduates saying it is a success despite the challenges brought by Covid-19 pandemic.

“The graduates were supposed to graduate in 2020 but because of the virus they couldn’t. It takes two years to complete the programs. We are now proud of the graduates. We have many different denominations and in Rwanda they come from 20 different denominations,” he said.

GSM started in 2001 and began its first classes in Rwanda in 2015.

In 2018 there were 67 graduates with 63 Master of Ministry and 2 Doctor of Ministry degrees.

He said that this is the second graduation since 2018 with about 18 graduates from bachelor’s program in theological studies and 144 from Master’s program in leadership development.

Besides pastors Christian leaders, other leaders who head different institutions are welcomed in the school for leadership courses.

“We have been able to provide training at a cost most can afford in education. I am also happy to see the results, the thing that has accelerated their spiritual growth. They can actually go out and help the people in the community in the most effective and practical ways,” he said.

The school tuition is about 30 percent of what other schools charge.

By leveraging technology, such as the internet, flash drive, and tablet computers, IGSM is able to take its teaching into any location in any country.

While the school excels in biblical/theological training, the main focus is on practical ministry which helps pastors and Christian leaders learn the skills they need for the everyday battles they face in ministry
