Rwanda, South Sudan Police officers complete aviation security course
Twenty-seven Police officers from Rwanda National Police (RNP) and South Sudan National Police Service (SSNPS), on Friday, ended the three-week aviation security course at the Police General Headquarters in Kacyiru.
The closing ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in Charge of Administration and Personnel, Juvenal Marizamunda. Read more
Scores arrested in strengthened operations against illegal mineral trade
Strengthened Police operations against illegal mining and mineral trade led to the arrest of at least 21 people in different parts of the country.

Nyabihu: Two arrested over bribe
Police in Nyabihu District has arrested two men attempted to bribe police officers.
The suspects identified as Jean Pierre Munyuzangando, 39 and Sekoma Bigirimana, 43 were arrested on Monday in Ikora commercial centre, Jenda Sector. Read more
Nyagatare: 44 sacks of minerals seized from illegal dealer
Police in Nyagatare District has seized 44 sacks of cassiterite minerals weighing over 2.5 tonnes from an illegal dealer in Matimba Sector.
The minerals were recovered on Sunday from the house of one Johnson Muhozi, the suspected illegal dealer, who is still at large. Fighting drug abuse: Three traffickers arrested in intensified operations
Separate Police operations against drug trafficking conducted on Sunday, mainly in Nyanza and Gisagara districts led to the arrest of three suspected drug traffickers.
The suspects were at the time found with varied quantities of illegal brews commonly known as ‘Muriture’ and 118 pellets of cannabis. Read more
