Packaging banana based alcoholic beverage-Akarusho in ‘cans’ by Enterprise Urwibutso is the new packaging brand and innovation on the market with aim to ease transportation and exportation of the product as they are in different sizes.

Consumers were familiar with Akarusho in bottles but they can also access them in cans.

The new packaging is in 330ml bottle and 500ml bottle to make it affordable to every person.

I also produce various sizes of Malt wine to allow every Rwandan afford the prices from 175ml bottle, 250ml, 330ml, 750ml, 3Littles and 5Littlres.

The exhibition started on July 22, 2019 to end on August 11th, 2019.

“I have an initiative to bring new products and new innovations every year during the trade fair, since the Private Sector Federation (PSF) established this business exhibition scheme. In this exhibition we have new innovation of smart packaging of Akarusho banana based alcoholic beverage in cans, and many more products.” He said.

This year, we have made this new packaging in line with complying with standards’ advice on packaging of alcohol based beverages in non-plastic bottles; we have boxes of wine of Malt, bananas from 3 littres to 5 littre bottles. We sell them at local and international market in smart packaging and our enterprise complies with international standards,” he added.

I do like research, a well done job and standards, reason why we are the only one at international level to have can packaging. We do not only look at quality but also packaging innovations. We have even started exporting them and they are easy to transport. This can does not require having a glass, and such an international packaging style is good. Akarusho is a contributing product to bring foreign currency, Sina said.

The new Akarusho is easy to carry whenever someone is as you can walk with it.

Entreprise Urwibutso has committed to transform agriculture by helping farmers to improve on quality with updated technologies.

“I make sure that every Rwandan is on top of accessing good services and quality products at affordable prices,” he said.
