P6 and S3 national examinations results to be released today

Rwanda’s Ministry of Education announced via twitter that this year’s national examinations results of primary 6 and senior 3 will be released today, December 31, 2018.

The ceremony will take place at the ministry’s headquarters in Kacyiru, Kigali, at 11am.

The new academic year for primary and secondary schools will begin on January 14, 2019, compiling three trimesters as usual.

A total of 143,551 secondary school candidates, including 46,653 for Advanced Level that increased from 40,772 and 96,898 for Ordinary Level that increased from 96,657 comparing to the last year, sat this year’s national examinations.

The candidates from   national primary leaving examinations (PLE) got an increase of 12 percent.

According to Rwanda Education Board (REB), PLE candidates grew from 227,870 to 255,578 this year.

1st term: 14/01/2019 – 06/04/2019

2nd term: 22/04/2019 – 19/07/2019

3rd term: 04/08/2019 – 08/11/2019

PLE National examinations: 04/11/2019 – 06/11/2019

 S3&S6 National examinations: 12/11/2019 – 26/11/2019.
