Mediatrice Mukeshimana, a young Rwandan who is among the candidates of the Liberal Party for the 2018 parliamentary polls promises to advocate for youth and encourage them to use available opportunities and strive for sustainable development.

The 29 year-old appreciates an effective participation of youth candidates in these polls as it is the first time in the history of Rwanda’s political elections to have many young people represented.

Mukeshimana told The Inspirer that she will focus on development of youth cooperatives and encourage more youth to join all activities that are in line with creating jobs.

“As I get this opportunity to be a Member of Parliament (MP), I will use it to advocate for Rwandan youth, trying to give them opportunity to prove their contribution to the country’s development. Young generation need to join cooperatives to start building self-reliance, and help the country achieve the sustainable Development Goals. I will strive for this,” Mukeshimana said.

She thanks the country’s efforts invested in youth development and said that they will achieve more in partnership with all concerned entities.

“We believe we will achieve more with joint efforts and everyone will attain his/her potential dreams as they vote for us,” she noted.
