Ishemaryayo launches e-saving platform to ease fund deposit in banks

Eng. Jeanne Bovine Ishemaryayo, managing director of computer geek technology limited has launched a new software ‘e-saving’ which she said will facilitate people, especially the youth to save their money on their bank accounts via smart phones.

This software unveiled on March 23, 2018 is the second the young technology enthusiast has developed after ‘e-vuze’ platform she launched last year to ease access to healthcare services via mobile phone.

The new software which is online with promoting savings culture,  has aim to improve technology and innovation that impact youth development according to Ishemaryayo.

She said that with that platform youth will be able to save even little money from Rwf100 and can drive to a considerable bank guarantee to get loan.

She said that with that platform, youth will be able to save even little money from Rwf100 and can manage to amass  a considerable bank guarantee to get loan.

At the launch were various officials including industries and cooperative representatives, Business Development Fund (BDF) and SACCO representatives, ICT innovation clubs and other officials.

Under the Geek Technology limited of which she is the head, Ishemaryayo managed to work with about 200 youth grouped in various saving groups and entrepreneurship activities mainly in Gasabo district, the initiative that she said is a key source of start-ups of future income generating projects.

“We started in Gasabo district to coordinate youth and encourage them to work together in order to have access to finance, our goal is to empower them to be change makers,” said Ishemaryayo.

Ishemaryayo said the very key rationale of the e-sving platform is to reduce journeys of people to the banks to deposit their money as the software will sort out everything while a bank client is at home.

“Today people still face challenges of spending a time at banks waiting to deposit their money, but it becomes easy when someone send the money directly to his/her bank account without going there,” Ishemaryayo noted.

She said that with that platform youth will be able to save even little money from Rwf100 and can drive to a considerable bank guarantee to get loan.

The youth who were enrolled with saving groups and currently working with geek technology limited have joined SACCO for their savings and will be using the e-saving platform.
