Just Gaming announces pool table competition launch in Kigali

Just gaming limited, a local entertainment-based company has announced this evening of February 27, 2018 that their pre-launch of national Pool table championship is scheduled on Friday March 2, 2018 at Beirut Sky Pool-Nyarutarama.

David Niyonsaba, managing director of Just Gaming limited told the media that the reason for this new championship is built on available talents among Rwandans of every age category above 18 years.

“We accept that every talent is crucial in life, pool table game is appreciated by everyone including youth, mature, girls and women. This game is also performed in many neighboring countries and we found better have our local players to represent the country abroad through competition,” said Niyonsaba.

He said that there are about 16 sites with good reputation for pool table game in the country including Rubavu, Musanze, Rusizi, Nyagatare, Rwamagana, (Kigali:Gatenga, Remera, Gisozi, Nyamirambo) among others.

Niyonsaba said that they will think of having a pool table federation after showing interests of players to Rwandans.

“it is a good idea to have a federation, we are discussing with the ministry of sports and culture on the future projection of pool table game and we will first present its interests to Rwandans,” said Niyonsaba.

Four best talented players will present their talents and the overall winner will be awarded the ticket to visit Akagera National Park, according to Nehemie, one of sponsors of the competition.

Interested players aged above 18 who need participate have to register with Rwf 5,000 fees.

The main sponsors of the initiative are Grand Legacy Hotel, Beirut Sky Pool and Greeny.

The championship will respect gender balance. “We also thought on gender, females will have a small competition and males, there is no limitation of gender,” said Niyonsaba.

He mentioned that at the end of the official big unveiling of this championship that is scheduled in the mid-May, 2018, the overall winner will be awarded a ticket to trip to South Korea to experience the performance in pool table.

Three best winners will also be awarded from Rwf 2,000,000 to Rwf 800,000.

There are currently Pool table clubs in Kigali and they will finally give way to formulation of one Federation according to Niyonsaba.

Just gaming has a three-year budget to presents the championship to Rwandans. The budget will see the team and employees’ support and awards delivery as Niyonsaba explained.

The annual budget of Just Gaming is between Rwf 40,000,000 and Rwf 60,000,000 to boost pool table championship.
